Structured Cabling
Installation in San Jose CA

+
Up to 25-Year Channel Warranty

Structured cabling is the standardised physical telecommunications wiring infrastructure installed throughout a building or campus. It provides a single, organised system that supports multiple hardware uses — data, voice, video, building management — and is designed to be reliable, scalable, and easy to maintain for years after installation.

Unlike point-to-point wiring, structured cabling is designed to a documented standard (ANSI/TIA-568), making it predictable, testable, and warranted. Every cable has a home run back to a central patch panel in the telecom room — so any port can be repatched without touching the walls.

In San Jose, structured cabling is required for any commercial build-out or significant renovation. Our team has installed structured cabling in offices from Downtown San Jose, medical buildings, schools, and warehouses throughout the San Jose. Every project starts with a site survey, ends with certified test reports, and is backed by manufacturer warranty.

We’ve installed structured cabling in hundreds of commercial properties across San Jose — from single-tenant office suites to multi-building business parks in Natomas and large industrial facilities throughout the greater Sacramento region. Here’s what sets us apart.

CA C-7 Licensed & Insured

California requires a C-7 Low Voltage Contractor License for any commercial structured cabling work. We’re fully licensed and insured — protecting your property and ensuring your install is code-compliant from day one.

BICSI Certified Technicians

Our technicians hold active BICSI credentials — the industry-standard certification for information communication technology installation. Not just trained, but tested and credentialed to a global standard.

Manufacturer Certified

We’re certified installers for Belden, CommScope, and Panduit. This means we can offer you a manufacturer-backed extended channel warranty — up to 25 years — on qualifying structured cabling installations.

TIA-568 Certified Testing

Every cable we install is tested with a Fluke DSX-8000 CableAnalyzer to ANSI/TIA-568.2-D standards. You receive digitally signed test reports for every single run — not a sampling, every run.

Zero Downtime Scheduling

We work around your business schedule. Evening, weekend, and phased installations are standard for our Sacramento, CA clients. We’ve completed structured cabling projects in occupied law offices in Downtown Sacramento, healthcare clinics near the Capitol District, and active retail spaces throughout Arden-Arcade — all without disrupting daily operations.

Full Documentation

At project close you receive as-built drawings, a complete port map spreadsheet, and photo documentation of the telecom room. You’ll know exactly what was installed, where every cable goes, and what every port connects to.

The most common question we hear from San Jose businesses. Here’s an honest breakdown — what each category delivers, what it costs, and who it’s right for.

CategoryMax SpeedBandwidthMax DistancePoE SupportBest For
Cat5e1 Gbps100 MHz100mPoE / PoE+Small offices, budget installs, supplemental drops
Cat6 Recommended1–10 Gbps250 MHz55m (10G) / 100m (1G)PoE / PoE+Most Sacramento commercial offices — the right default
Cat6A10 Gbps500 MHz100m (10G)PoE++ (90W)Data centers, enterprise, WiFi 6/6E WAP runs

Choose Cat5e if…

You’re on a tight budget, the install is temporary or supplemental, and your network will never exceed 1 Gbps. We rarely recommend Cat5e for new San Jose commercial builds — the cost difference to Cat6 is minimal and the performance gap is significant.

Choose Cat6 if…

You’re building a standard commercial office in San Jose. Cat6 is our default recommendation for the vast majority of office, retail, healthcare, and education installations. It handles 10 Gbps on shorter runs, supports PoE+, and qualifies for manufacturer warranties.

Choose Cat6A if…

You’re deploying WiFi 6/6E access points (which require Cat6A for full PoE++ power), building a data center or server room, have runs longer than 55m in a 10G environment, or want maximum performance headroom for an San Jose enterprise deployment.

From your first call to final sign-off, here’s exactly how a structured cabling project works with our San Jose team.

Free Site Survey & Consultation

We visit your San Jose, CA location, assess the space, identify pathway routing, evaluate your existing infrastructure, and fully understand your IT requirements. We don’t quote from a floor plan — we walk the job to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Same-day site surveys are available throughout the greater San Jose area.

Scope & Fixed-Price
Quote

Within 24 hours of the survey you receive a detailed written scope of work with a fixed price — no hourly rates, no open-ended estimates. The scope covers cable counts, cable category, pathway routing, rack and panel layout, and testing methodology.

Cabling Design &
Schedule

We produce a cabling design drawing, cable schedule, and patch panel port map before the install begins. Every drop is numbered, named, and assigned — so the install is organised and documented from the first cable pulled.

Professional Installation

Our BICSI-certified technicians install the cabling to ANSI/TIA-568.2-D standards. Cables are properly supported, bend radius maintained, crossings dressed, and all runs terminated and dressed neatly at the patch panel. We work at times that minimise disruption to your San Jose business — evenings, weekends, or phased delivery.

Testing & Certification

Every cable run is tested with a Fluke DSX-8000 Cable Analyzer to Level IV Permanent Link standards — that’s every single run, not a sample. Results are measured against ANSI/TIA-568.2-D pass/fail criteria and exported as digitally signed PDF reports.

Documentation & Warranty Handoff

You receive: as-built drawings, complete port map spreadsheet, test reports for every run, telecom room photo documentation, and manufacturer warranty registration. Your IT team will know exactly what’s installed and where everything connects.
